Pollinating insects are in rapid decline and if this trend continues, as well as being a biodiversity disaster, our diet will look drastically different with most of our fruit and vegetables disappearing from the shops.

Pollination is not just important for the food we eat directly; it is vital for the foraging of crops used to feed the livestock we depend on for meat. Just as importantly, it helps to feed many other animals in the food chain and maintains the genetic diversity of the flowering plants.

Seeds will be handed out later in the year which should be sown from late January until late October. Rake the surface of the ground to about 1cm depth. Sprinkle the seeds evenly and then immediately water.
