Causes Supported

Through local lottery support, your ‘Birchington Together CIC’ team has been able to support the following causes:

• Birchington Air Scouts – supporting our local scouts in their endeavours to build teamwork, life, and social confidence skills

• Memorial Recreation Ground upkeep – we’re proud to contribute to the purchase of 6,000 native bluebell bulbs for Birchington in Bloom (in collaboration with the BPC)…what a wonderful sight we’ll all be able to enjoy in the spring

• Birchington in Bloom – creating both beauty and insect wildlife, contributing to our mental well-being, and the environment – imagine our village without those beautiful displays?

• The Evening Women’s Institute group – ensuring that no-woman feels alone, or isolated, whilst enjoying new friendships and supporting local good causes

• Birchington Active Residents Association – ensuring that we continue to live in a community that brings people together and has fun, no-one should be alone.

• The Sea Shelters – this speaks for itself, the pretty, blue shelters are beacons of our village pride and the kindness of selfless volunteers
• The Birchington Christmas lights – enabling the Christmas lights to ‘shine’ in Birchington over the festive season
• The Three Bays WI – enabling the group to be heard as they spent the donation on a portable speaker and headset
• The Birchington Ukulele group – Who play music at various groups and now have T-Shirts with their and our logos on
• The 2023 and 2024 Christmas events – A great event for all in the village, Birchington Together CIC helped with the costs and the Christmas raffles
• Birchington Primary School – Needed books for the children to read in break times, Birchington Together CIC were able to buy 45 books to help with this!
• Thanet Big Sing Community Choir – Needed help with printing costs for their music scores
